Landslide is a two-player board game with the goal of achieving four of the same pieces in a row. The player who starts uses white (the bishops). The second player uses black (the knights). The red pieces (castles) are merely placeholders to indicate the row positions.
Each player takes a turn by either placing a piece on the board by clicking an existing one that is not already their own, or by clicking on an empty space and make an entire row slide one position sideways in the corresponding direction.
There are two limitations: (i) You cannot undo your opponent's last move (the game script doesn't allow you to), and (ii) the game will time-out after 2 minutes of being idle. In other words: you have 2 minutes to contemplate your next move. (This time-out setting can be changed in the description field of the object in 'Edit'.)
Whoever can connect four pieces either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally first, wins. Beware that your move can cause four of your opponent's pieces to connect too, causing them to win the game instead.
You can abort a game by keeping the board pressed for at least two seconds. You will then be prompted whether or not to abort.
The board can be scaled in its entirety in Edit, to make it fit your table top. Beware not to move the board's components (child prims) individually. This might have adverse effects on the game. Make sure you always keep a copy of the original game in your inventory.
