Get this fully playable, animated checkers game and play against yourself or another person in SL. The Land Impact of the game, including all checker pieces, is 4.
The game will check whether a move is legal. Illegal moves are undone by the game script. This is especially useful whenever you overlook a mandatory piece capture. Players can resign during a game by clicking the side of the board. When a game has ended, the owner can change the time-out time by clicking the side of the board.

This version of checkers is also know as 'American checkers', or 'English draughts'. It differs from 'international draughts' (a.k.a. 'Polish draughts') not only in board size (8 x 8 fields rather than 10 x 10). The game rules also differ significantly. In assuming that you are familiar with the game rules for international draughts, the differences between international draughts and American checkers are listed as follows:
1. The darker color (in this version, black) moves first.
2. When a piece ('man') reaches the opposite side of the board, an extra piece is stacked on top. This double piece is then called a 'king'.
3. Men can move one step forward (diagonally), kings can move ONLY ONE STEP forward or backward (also diagonally).
4. Men can capture multiple opponent pieces in one turn only in a forward direction, kings can capture them in both directions.
5. If a man is promoted to a king ('kinged', or 'crowned'), the turn ends. The new king must wait for another turn to capture a piece.

This is very fun, only one problem its force take rules, so if you have a piece that can take another you must take that piece you cant make any other move until you take that piece.
Fun But Not A Real Game Experience
You are forced to make moves if you can jump. You cant play with strategy. So while it can be fun, you cant really play someone unless you make the moves it requires you to make.
