Fed-up with waiting for your multiprim notices to rez, or paying for texture imports? PrimEtext may be the solution to your noticeboard needs!

PrimEtext is a single-prim media-enabled text display system. It has 3 modes of text entry:
1. It reads text from the notecard 'user text' in Contents (by default).
2. It can use the object name and description.
3. It can receive text from a textbox.
4. It can receive messages on a fixed private channel.

Modes 1, 2 & 4 are accessible only to the owner, whereas mode 3 access can also be set to object group (as set in Edit) or anyone. The owner controls the mode of operation through a menu obtained by clicking the top edge of the frame.

The format of the text is controlled by parameters given in the notecard 'params' in Contents. If the size of the text exceeds what can be displayed on the notice, a vertical scroll bar will be shown, and the owner then has the option of changing the font size in 'params'.

It is also possible to include a number of HTML codes in the text itself, giving added flexibility to the format. A particularly useful feature is the ability to include SLurls, enabling teleport offers to be made directly from a notice or sign.

The text can be displayed on a web-sourced background texture of your choice, or on a plain or coloured background.

To view the notice, readers must have media options enabled including 'autoplay', failing which they will see a default notice advising what action they should take.

Text is limited only by normal SL requirements:
Mode 1: 255 bytes per line
Mode 2: object name is 63 bytes, object description is 127 bytes
Mode 3: textbox is 250 bytes
Mode 4: channel messages are limited to 1024 bytes

Included in the PrimEtext folder is a full Help file, and two 'template' notices as shown in the alternate photos, as easy starters.

Note: Some sims may experience lag in rendering media on prim surfaces. Tests should be made to see if this product is suitable for your purposes.
