This photorealistic heron is an 100% mesh item with an 1 prim land impact and is animated.

We've made it so the head is animated, with the advantage that it will cause practically zero lag and will not be excluded due to the covenants that exist on some homesteads with regards to animals.

It furthermore comes with copy permissions generally as well as modify permissions for the heron, so you can resize.

Outstanding mesh Heron for the price and prim count. Looks great hunting for fish in my creek.

Given the limits of SL tech, this is about the best you can do for having an animated bird for your land. The heron is realistic looking -- although the default size it comes in as is huge (more like a dinosaur), so resize it! The simple frame animation actually works well for this bird, as real herons will stand there with their heads snapping from position to position as they eye fish. Only a minor neck issue when looking at this bird model from a distance.

I'm very picky about stuff that goes on my land, but this belongs.
