The wings are scripted and will open and close when you fly or land, the wings will allow you to fly above the normal limit.
Pressing down+forwards will cause you to dash in the direction you are facing, leaving a burst of particles in your wake.
Pressing down+up will emit a burst of particles and cause you to rapidly ascend for a moment.
Use the included gesture for color menu. Clicking the effects button on the menu toggles the animated textures on the wings.
See item in Second Life- Wings open or close depending on whether you are flying.
