With the release of the new hyena avatars, we are also offering the heads as separate products.
The idea is to offer a high quality, fully animated series of heads on the marketplace that may be attractive to mod makers. As such, we also include access to the PSD files for the head, allowing you to make and sell your own custom textures and use this head freely for any commercial texture mods you make.
The head features a good range of animated facial expressions, playing 30 second loop animations for subtle facial shifts etc, and also supports a more custom facial expression by changing the eyes, ears, jaw and tongue poses. The cheek fluff is also toggle-able, allowing a wider range of styles.
Included are both male and female heads, with a neck-less option for both. The standard neck connector fits the SL neck shape, rendering it compatible with most major mesh body brands, whilst the neck-less version allows it to function with bodies that use a different neck shape.

I received this as a gift to make a hyena with, but I wound up finding that I like it more as a smoother, shorter-snouted wolf head, or domesticated dog head too, It's round with a semi-cartoony look while still looking on the realism side. It also makes a stunning hyena.
Something not listed in the product description is that the 'mane' on the top of the head can be hidden with basic transparency editing or texturing, so if it is a turnoff for you with this head, that is an easy fix.
These heads in newer days can be used with bakes on mesh too, along with the included eyes can be adjusted for BOM eyes, so if that's your jam, bonus points, and also now come with shapes so you don't have a scrunched in muzzle on attachment.
(BoM requires a bit of your own modding knowledge, but it is relatively simple and easy to set up.)
The animations are very subtle and the expressions also, are very subtle but still very lovely, and every animation in this head is smooth and transitions between animations are incredibly fluid and natural.
A downside is this head not coming with ears, but it would not turn me off from buying this head.
It also does not come with an alpha for the SL body, but using the "headless avatar" alpha is an easy fix for that.
Most of the downsides with this head are super easy fixes, and I always find myself enjoying making textures for any of the Psicorp heads, and using them personally.
