Pushable/Driveable Gurney Version 2.5
This is a simple pushable/driveable gurney; it is a vehicle, not an attachment, so it requires you to have rights to rez objects to use. The driver's position includes a walking animation when in motion (complete with the sound of wheels rolling on the floor). The patient's position (right-click and sit on the lower pad) can be adjusted to be sitting or laying down, and there is a 2nd position for another rescuer to ride and perform CPR. A perfect addition to any emergency room, clinic, or hospital.
The poseball provides CPR to the Mercy v5 patient HUD - if your avatar is in cardiac arrest without receiving CPR, your chances of being successfully resuscitated drop.
v2.5 adds synchronized animation for the victim with CPR - the chest moves up and down, just like the CPR backboard.
- Walking/pushing animation
- Two patient positions - laying and sitting up
- CPR poseball for 2nd rescuer to ride
- Two colors included - white and orange
- Access controls - owner, group, or everyone
Could be better - esp steering.
I've tried a few gurneys for our hospital, so really know what I'm after - something my staff can all use and get around the hospital without steering like a supertanker. And one you can PUSH, not magically follow you around like it's in a Harry Potter movie.
I read the other reviews and saw the responses to them, so it suggested these one-stars were written without really trying to work it out. This is most likely true.
Access - YES, it can be set to group, owner, all, just click on the gurney, it isn't hard.
Lying on the gurney - YES, of course you can lie on the gurney.
The UPPER portion of the gurney you right click to PUSH the gurney (OR if someone is already pushing, you go into CPR position). The lower part (the bit with the yellow straps)
All that took like 2 mins to figure out.
Okay, so my pros/cons:
- Multiple access levels, so I don't need to be involved or online for my staff to use it.
- The patient has their head up at the same end of the the gurney where the person is pushing. This may sound silly but it's an important little detail. We shouldn't be pushing patients headfirst through doors and we also need to keep an eye on the patient whilst transporting.
Cons:
- Steers worse than a supertanker territory, sadly. I found the only way to turn was to stop moving forward, turn, then move forward, stop, turn, move forward, etc. It's not ideal and the turning even then is painfully slow. That for me is the big issue, need some good maneuverability to get around our hospital.
- The Patient pose: he has his arms held out over the sides of the gurney, they should be down by his sides or hands on his chest. I don't want to smash his hand into a door frame
Now it does say v2.6, which gives me hope that the product will receive further updates, which Eliza's other stuff does, when needs arise.
So, I'm hopeful the steering will possibly get a fix (along with the patient pose).
Horrible and Useless
Teach me not to look at previous reviews.
Driving it is "owner only." So it's great for your Sim's ER if that ER is staffed by ONE PERSON
