This off-sim landscape (a virtual version of a rolling hills kind of environment, with 21 different setups and texture combinations) instantly makes your island part of a big 3D panoramic environment. The amount of detail of the sculpted terrain is very high. It includes off-sim meadows and pastures, rock layers, debris slopes, boulders and trees.
There is one version of this item available:
Properties:
• Change the surface textures of all landscape parts (254 textures available in the HUD), and you can even use your own textures
• Change the off-sim trees to 21 predefined different types: winter pines, fir trees, deciduous trees (both summer and autumn), palm trees…
• Switch to a different landscape scene/season (Winter textures available too)
• De-rez landscape sections (if you want to leave out the trees or boulders) and rez them again later
• Allow others to change the scene and surface textures
• Copy-permissions
• Unscripted and multiple sit items are not obstructed by the environment, because it is excluded from the physics system. It causes no lag on moving physical objects on your sim, like cars or horses
• Advanced menu to remove redundant scripts to decrease script load
You can read the User Manual here:
http://docs.google.com/open?id=0B86Ma9OH0IR4c2xtWDRmYUx2YnM
Other characteristics are:
• Its size is 1000x1000m. An island measures 256x256m, which means it covers your island and extends way beyond its limits. However, it cannot be seen from other islands that do not share one full border with your island. Islands that just touch at the corners are no problem to use this item.
• A script takes the landscape to the best position on your land. You can rotate and move it afterwards like any other object in SecondLife. Do not drop it too close to the edge, it may go off-world and end up in your Lost and Found folder.
• You can combine this landscape with other off-sim elements, like waves and rock structures.
• Matching terrain textures for your land are available in the in-world store, close to the landing point.
To your viewer this landscape is a set of sculpted prims with textures. Technically there is not much difference from, for example, a detailed set of furniture. The textures do not contain an alpha channel (except for the off-sim trees) and are not animated. There are no particle systems in this item. The surface and sculpt textures take some time to load, but after that they cause no lag and do not obstruct your movements.
Mega prims
This landscape item is made of mega prims. There is one known issue associated with the mega prims of this landscape:
• The way your island is represented on the world map will change. Read this for technical information: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-5898

Fabulous
I rarely do reviews but felt compelled to come back to MP and review this. I just dropped it onto the sim and .... that was it! It positions itself and even its default layout is lovely. The HUD allows the shape of the terrain and the elements to be modified. Love it!
Bloody awesome
I have used a few sim surrounds over the years. This one is absolutely top notch. It's reasonably priced, mid-range and does exactly what the creator intended. My sim looks amazing. The HUD works great and gives a real depth of field as if you are in the middle of a landscape. Can't rave enough about it.
Great Investment
This makes the sim look so realistic. These are fantastic products!
AWESOME!
This was the finishing touch we needed to pull the entire look of our RP sim together. Make sure to try the DEMO first, tho. That made it easy for me to be confident in my purchase. WONDERFUL PRODUCT!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
