There are other Roost fireplaces that go much better in this house and I have used one of them instead - The Palm View Fireplace which I have to say looks fantastic in this house!!!
It fits the house well, but...
... the fire itself need a makeover. When I was looking closer, the flames are on two thin planes, not 3d mesh. The flames are also barely visible, even at dark. I solved this by editing the fireplace and removed the flames and wood, replacing it with ones I linked off a Trompe Loeil build. Now, that is real looking flames! I see many ugly flames around in SL, even if the fireplaces are well built, so I replace logs and flames in 9 of 10 fireplaces. But I would think that a large and well renowned brand like Roost had better looking fires than this.
