Random Winner Picker - Game Machine

~ WHAT DOES THE MACHINE DO? ~

The TBF Random Winner Picker can pick from 1 to 12 winner names out of a larger list of contestants. Contestants simply click the device to join and the owner then triggers the device to select names from the group in a random fashion.

This machine is ideal in situations where you have prizes to give away to some members of your audience. That's all it can do.

Only the owner of the machine will be able to operate it. Make sure each game host has their own Random Winner Picker machine and rez rights to the venue.

~ SETTING UP THE MACHINE ~

To set up your TBF Random Winner Picker machine, you need to think of a name for your contest and write it down in the Description field in the Edit window. Then, click the machine and select 'Reset' from the menu. The machine will now show the name of your contest. Setup is complete.

~ PLAYING A ROUND ~

To play a round, click the machine and select 'Recruit'. This allows contestants to join the game by clicking on it.

You can temporarily suspend the recruiting of new contestants by clicking the device and selecting 'Lock'. You can resume by clicking again and selecting 'Recruit' again. This will not erase the previously joined names.

You can list the names by clicking the device and select 'List'.

You can erase the names by clicking and selecting 'Reset'.

In order to announce a winner, click the device and select 'Winner'. It will then ask you the amount of winners to be drawn from the list (1 to 12). Upon choosing an amount, the machine will start drawing the name(s).

Names will be announced on the board and in Local Chat, with sounds, particles and other flashy effects.

Beware not to click the board after the last name has been announced for at least a while. Clicking it will reset the game automatically and the last winning name will be erased from the board.

Note that the owner can not join the game. Ask someone else or use an alt to test it.
