Because this is Second Life, we are allowed to have the bodies we want here, not necessarily the bodies we have IRL, that's why this is, for the most part, fantasy!
While it's great that we have the options to make our bodies we want, whether we have a standard avi or mesh body, we still have to adjust for the clothing we wear, especially when it comes to MESH.

The alpha included with my clothing is designed with one standard avi shape, so you may have to adjust your body shape to wear the outfit, or go to the next higher size, if available.
For those of us with MESH bodies, we find that we have to adjust shape, and/or use the HUD that came with our bodies to hide certain parts.
It is helpful to acknowledge this and keep in mind when purchasing MESH outfits.
