The Demos are NO COPY / NO MODIFY ...With HUD Based Items they are also NO COPY / NO MODIFY - Color changes are made through the HUD.

Most Rigged Mesh in Second Life needs adjustments to your avatar shape. Alphas are included but the nature of Mesh is for some adjustment needed for it to fit well.

In turn, mesh offers some of the most realistic movement and texturing available in second life. If you refuse or do not wish to make any adjustments to your AV mesh may not be for you.
