Rustic old wooden Mesh Barrel Version 1.0

Here we go, adding one more barrel to the endless list of barrel props in Second Life! And of course this is the one to buy. Here's why:

- Pretty
- 100% Mesh
- Low Prim (LI 1)
- Materials (normal and specular maps)
- Low texture footprint (= low lag!)
- Custom LOD (= no ugly deforming!)
- Copy & Modify permissions
- Very reasonable price

If that and the picture is not enough to convince you, I give up. But if you're still with me, I'd say give it a go, it isn't that expensive and I promise you'll like it. Now, for some details if you're really curious.

Total texture footprint is 960 KB for the diffuse and 288 KB for specular and normal maps, totalling at around 1.2 MB - all according to http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Texture_sizes -- ask your favorite merchants for their creation's footprint and compare!

The barrel has three texture faces: top, bottom and sides. The (diffuse) textures can easily be replaced by other textures, if you want to. Just play around with it. Note, however, that specular and normal maps (materials) use a different texture layout, hence different texture repeat/offset values. If you're going to try your own textures on it, you might want to remove the materials or just leave them untouched - that might work, too.

The LOD is handcrafted. No matter how far you're away or how low your graphic settings, this barrel will always look like one. What a bliss!
