A transponder is a device used in most modern aircraft to make the aircraft more visible to ATC (Air Traffic Control) radar. When an aircraft is illuminated by a radar signal, the transponder sends a code that is displayed on the ATC radar screen. The code, sometimes called a “squawk code”, is a 4-digit numeric value that is set by the pilot. This HUD makes your aircraft visible on a grid map that is accessible from an off-world web page modeling an ATC radar system.

A musthave if you are into aviation or boating!
Have been using this Transponder in my Shergood helicopters, and now bought this as in the HUD version to use for every helicopter i own, as well as boat. I can warmly recommend it. It makes your Second Life experience a lot more realistic, which means you WANT to use the Transponder (you will note that when you been using it, and then try without) this is a musthave for anyone who want a realistic and fun experience, when boating or flying.
The GPS has helped me a lot more than any map or mini map can do. Its not that handy to have your map up always, and the mini map dont provide even half as much information as this GPS does. It has helped me meeting with other aviators who seen me on map, it helped me navigate accurate a lot of time where i would get lost using the build in viewer map.
Its made by a professional builder who puts a lot of her effort and knowledge in SL, which you will notice if you are using any of her products. If you still not, try it! I know you dont regret it!

Fantastic product
This HUD and GPS is massively useful for anyone exploring SL. It complements the minimap perfectly as it provides multiple view levels, allowing you to see surrounding sims and accurately locate yourself on the map without having to open your world map. The GPS is highly accurate and extremely useful for traveling from airport to airport without having to constantly check your heading. This product is absolutely packed full of features and it's performance and scripting quality is absolutely the best of any product I've seen in all of SL. This is useful for sailors, drivers, and pilots - anyone who travels in SL will find this to be extremely useful.
If you are a grid flier than this is a must have for your realistic and easy to use moving map navigator
Not only does this give you a transponder (and yes, Kelly is good enough to supply those to the aviation community for free), this gives you the transponder as well as an interactive GPS and moving map. Now you can plan your routes (flight plans), store them, load them and see them depicted on a moving map that also shows all SL airports, the airport information as well as intersection (waypoints).
This has changed the way I fly in SL in a very significant and positive way.
Also important: I was a little confused about creating routes and IM'd the creator and she was very kind and patient with me. I have to say, the instructions are very complete - but you need to read them carefully. Though it is nice to see such dedication in product support.

Pretty nice aviation gadget!
Pretty nice if you want to take a long flight you can even setup a flight route. You won't have to bring up the viewers map to make sure your going the right direction. It has several other abilities that I currently don't have a need for but I'm sure others will find them very useful! Only two things I would like to see the HUD be able to do, is have the map rotate to ones direction (this would be an option) and be able to have move off screen.
Also, I had a few questions, and support was great.
