A transponder is a device used in most modern aircraft to make the aircraft more visible to ATC (Air Traffic Control) radar. When an aircraft is illuminated by a radar signal, the transponder sends a code that is displayed on the ATC radar screen. The code, sometimes called a “squawk code”, is a 4-digit numeric value that is set by the pilot. This HUD makes your aircraft visible on a grid map that is accessible from an off-world web page modeling an ATC radar system.
Features include:
* Operate in regular or altitude reporting mode
* Enter a squawk code that is displayed on radar screen.
* Search map my airport, or flight/tail number
* Enter flight plan data for display on radar

You need it
Every pilot in Second Life needs it.
Nothing else required
Super useful with easy to follow instructions
Awesome but wish it to be attachable to aircrafts
A perfect transponder! One thing that needs to be improved is that I wish I can Rez it ,attach it to my plane, and put it on the control panel instead of wearing it as a hud which makes sim crossing bumpy. However ,the transponder is unmodifiable so... But anyway ,Thankyou for your great contribution, give it 5 stars!
EVERY pilot should have this!
Fantastic idea, getting the radar is even better! That's good RP ladies & gentlemen ^^
Perfect
This is absolutely the best. Not only can i now find other pilots and have a great overview of all the airports, But i finally have a map i can use on my secondary monitor. This is a fantastic help. Thank you so much!
I like the Radar Transponder HUD!
From now on i wear this HUD when i fly. I read about it on twitter and thought iwant to try it out. I atached the HUD and on the builders website you can see in realtime where other pilots fly around.
That webpage in combination with the HUD is also a great way to find new airports. Helps me a lot to find and explore them. On the webpage i saw a few pilots Flight-Numbers and teleported to one of their locations and it brought me direct to the HUD scripter. She is very helpful and friendly and answered all my questions about the HUD. In the HUD you can set your flight a number and also can add your aircraft name (or any other funny pilot name) or tailnumber. You can also add your planned route to it e.g. SLCS>SLJA, so that other pilots can know to where you gonna fly to. It can optional also report a flight crash and then it will show your name in red on the page. This is good for roleplay so that your friends can send out rescue vehicles to save you :) I like this hud and use it.
