This fix pack is composed of 2 parts that are independent and optional.
PART ONE :
-----------
The script "210_Menu & AddOns" must be added into a prim of the boat (but NOT into the root prim). In my boat, I chose the cabin light because it is easy to click from anywhere in the boat and it's also the back swim platform that can easily be clicked when your cam is behind the boat.
That script will :
- Add a menu with all boat commands for the owner. Menu is available with limited commands when not sitting on the boat. All commands when sitting.
- combine Tower and Cover commands to ensure the covers won't stay visible when the tower is hidden. Covers will show when the tower is added but can then be removed with the cover command (from the menu, chat commands will still have the old behavior)
- add the ability to change the horn sound
- stop the windshield for turning fullbright when the engine is on and do that o the dashboard instruments instead.
- alert you if one of the seats is still occupied while nobody is sitting on the boat. This is due to someone getting disconnected or crashing while sitting and will most likely cause problems for later uses, the boat should be deleted and replaced by a clean copy whenever possible.
The script "SRV210 CameraPos" can be added in the root prim to fix wrong camera position. It will also reset the camera position each time someone stand up or the boat is stopped because the boat script resets it wrongly.
PART TWO :
-----------
- override the boat sit script for the four passengers in the back seats with AVsitter. The four sitters in the back seats will also have more animation to choose from and can access the poses menu by touching the cabin light or the swim platform.
The problem with the original script is that if the driver or crew stands up while someone is on the back seats, they will no longer be able to sit correctly but instead, will be put inside the engine compartment. That fix pack is overriding that annoying behavior.
Note that people will still need to sit in a defined order for the boat to work correctly :
Owner sits first, then Crew 1 (front seat), then the 4 passengers. Changing position in the boat using the SWAP function in the menu should be avoided and reserved only for couple pose sets.
That's something that is due to the behavior of AVsitter 1.9 and can not easily be fixed (not impossible but would require much more scripting). AVsitter 2.2 has new features that would allow much more flexibility but sadly the scripts of the SRV210 rely on things that have been changed between the 2 version and many features of the boat will stop working with AVsitter 2.2.
- optionally use a reworked menu tree for the poses system.
Note that the AVsit script included in this pack is a modified version with a workaround for a bug that happens sometimes during region crossings. In some occasions, the boat receives the information saying you (or a passenger) stood up and will stop animating them correctly.
This version of AVsit contains a workaround for that problem.
Very helpful and works good
The kit does everything it talks about and I have not had any problem with sim crossings at all with this installed..... shame this does not install a standing pose for fishing with the N-O game, perhaps some day :) Thanks Uggo
