I use several different programs to make my templates and textures, including Gimp, Paintshop Pro X3, and a few others. I also use some royalty free vectors and brushes, but 99.9 % of the time my textures are made with out a jump start vector and/or texture. As for my templates, I hand draw each one. These processes are time consuming.
In telling you all this, I hope you understand the reasons for the rules regarding my full-permission (a.k.a. full-perms) work. I work hard to bring you the items that I do because I do enjoy creating. I do not use SL to fund my RL, as I know some people do, which is wonderful. As other content creator's have said in their EULA (End User License Agreement ... basically I give you a license to use my creations in the following manner) , full perm does not mean full rights. I believe some new builders do not fully understand this statement and often have questions as to what they can or can not do. Therefore, I offer an explanation below.

The Creator (any full-perm content creator in sl)
The Buyer (you)
The Customer (buys from you)

THE ISSUE
The Creator sells to you a full-perm scuplt with map.
You make a new scuplt with map and sell the scuplt full-perm.
The Customer buys the scuplt from you, adds a new root prim (this sets him/her the creator of the scuplt), and then sells the item as full-perm.
It is a repeating problem , which leave the original creator receiveing no compensation for the work done on the sculpt and no new customers. I hope this helps new builders understand the reasons behind the rules on full-perm items.

WHAT YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO
Resell or give away as-is.
Resell or give away in a business-in-a-box.
Resell or give away as full-perm products.
Create competing products from them (i.e. make new textures using my texture as a base).
Resell or give away products with copy & trans perms, Your items must be either mod & copy or mod & trans. (Copy & trans perms are much the same as full-perm rights. The only difference is the new owner can not modify.)

WHAT YOU ARE ALLOWED TO DO
Modify my items to suit your needs.
Build and sell your products using my items.
Give away the items you made as long as not set to
full-perm or copy & trans (i.e. Hunt items, free gifts for your customers, lucky chair prizes).

All full-perm products are for use ONLY in SL.
All full-perm products are for content creation ONLY, regardless if they were purchased or won.
