---Silhouette Warfare---
- Fitted Mesh
Very well constructed.
This is a very nicely constructed Gothic Armour from around 1450 to 1480ish, well worth the L$. My only complaints (though minor) would be a lack of fluting on the Helm and the sword that looks to be from a latter era, approx 1550's or beyond and a lack of fingers or a mitten type of Gauntlet (though this is SL with all its constraints) . You'll need to purchase some gloves (easily done for only a few L$) Overall quality of this Armour is Excelent and a great representation of the period. A must buy if you're looking for a 15th Century Gothic Armour.
No updates :<
The armor is quality and rare in SecondLife, but it promises updates that don't come. I'm not sure if the seller is even around so it is risky to buy if you run into problems or need a redelivery. Make ample copies!
Another great build form Sillouette
Silhouette's execution of this High Gothic armor is very impressive if not nearly flawless. As a long time fan of his work I must say so for this is the pinnacle of his skill. It by far is the most beautiful armor in all of Second Life. Ok I need to address the other reviewer's statement, about no breast on the female breast plate; this is a historical replica, there were no breast in female breast plates and yes there were women that wore and fought in armour in the middle ages. The shape of the breast plate is to deflect sword blow. The arch and curve of a breast plate does this very well, and also lends to the strength of the armour. Adding "breast" to the breast plate's the cleavage would cause blows to focus blows over the weakest spot in the armour.Ok let's move on to the actual build, The armour is executed in the High Gothic style, clearly of the German type, English and Italian styles are smoother less fluting (the ridges that ad strength to the armour as well as its unique look. Silhouette clearly modeled this after the famous suit of Arch Duke Sigmund Maximillian of Tyrol. The sword a katzbalger is a perfect weapon complement for this suit you get two version sheathed and unsheathed. Only shame is they're not scripted (nor are any of his suits weapons) but they are modifiable so if you can do it yourself if you wish. It would have been nice to if he'd added a zweihander sword, but then again many are available in sl.It's hard to find a flaw with the build, the rigid mesh move well with the SL AVI, even using my own shape. The mesh doesn't overly contort when your avi moves or turns the only place it is really noticeable is at the Bevor (neck and face guard). I wish he had made the Bevor droppable(the part covering the face can often be unlatched and drop give the Knight air in the same way the visor can be lifted. The Sallet (helmet) and Visor(moveable with sound..nice) are in to separate pieces, you can wear with or without(both styles are proper.
