By the 1890s a new type of women's fashion became acceptable in polite society: Ladies' Sportswear. For the first time in history proper ladies could go out without a jacket thanks to the new "shirtwaist". Hemlines lifted slightly to keep skirts off the dirty pavements (affording glimpses of charming boot styles), and gored fullness assured freedom of movement. What a boon to the woman on the go!
This sporty daytime ensemble includes the voluminous leg-o-mutton sleeves so popular in the '90s. Remove them to bump your silhouette into the early 1900s (-1915).
Use the included prim collar & tie with the neckband shirt. You can replace the HRH collar & tie with the neckwear of your choice, or switch to the shirt that includes the tie "painted in".
The waistcoat and system skirt come with white, black or gold buttons. The gold button version can be worn with either the black or white trim prim skirts.
