These wings are made of mesh, and contain a variety of features:

~7 Wing Poses
--- Tight
--- Relaxed
--- Open
--- Spread
--- Hug
--- Shield
--- Raised

~Includes "Nano" version which allows you to resize the wings to 4.44% of the default size. This is great for smaller avatars or simply people who just want "chibi" style wings.

~36 Feather/Quill textures

~Restraint options so someone can "capture" you and chain your wings together, or bind them with chains to restrain flight (using RLV), and preventing you from spreading them open.

~Ribbon Options

~HUD driven with ability to recolor the wings parts and adjusting glow settings for an even more individualized look. The HUD also allows you to have another person have ownership of your wings while you wear them, and have control over them.

~All textures used are open sourced. That means you can open up the contents of the wings and find FULL PERMISSION texture files, giving you access to edit, alter, and replace the textures with your own modifications.

NOTE: Dark angel pictures done by Alexxis Korobase of GenTek Weapons.

Very lovely product, but some very heavy issues.

First I'd like to say that I very much enjoy these wings, especially the various options included. It is rich with features and thankfully modify, allowing the ability to resize and even full perm textures if you'd like to further customize.

My gripes with this product are not that the animation speeds are slow, but that even with textured scaled down to 256x256 the rendering cost sky rockets. On my typical avatar my rendering cost is around 88,000 yet, with these wings on, it skyrockets to over 260,000.

The issue is not that the textures are too high iof a resolution, but that the LODs of the wings are not at all optimized. If I were to cam out as far as I could manage, while still seeing the wings, they'd lose no loss in their overall quality at all. While this may seem like a good thing, it is unfortunately not. To have the LODs at such high quality when such is not required only magnifies the rendering cost of the object several times over, especially considering you will not be looking at or even able to see that far off.

I really do enjoy this product and many others from Sensations, but I would humbly beg that the LODs be handled in a far more optimized way. Efficiency and optimization are very important and this product is only a step or two away from being complete gold.

Beautiful! Wish for a dumbed down version.

These wings are beautiful and the best ones on the market as of right now. They have many options, colors, and states. I only wish that a simpler, cheaper version was for sale because I don't really use any of the features that come with it after I have the basic color set.

Still, very lovely wings.

The other reviews are right, they Are slow, but the wings come with a secondary version called "nano". Wear these and forget the main pair. They're not tiny (but can be made tiny) and the wings are all one piece so they're not slow to transition, and it says they're lower quality but i don't see a noticeable difference, they're still gorgeous. These wings are worth it

Beautiful but too slow

I bought these wings, and another prim set that was just slightly cheaper (including the optional HUD for them). While the Sensations wings are gorgeous to look at, and have more options in positioning, the wings are much too slow to change between those positions.

Changing brings on a effect where each feather can be seen to move into the new position; it takes a good few seconds which spoils the effect.

Flapping the wings does not suffer from this, nor does the animation in flight. The HUD looks like it gives remarkable customization options, but I haven't used it.

The bottom line: I'm short of money and wish I hadn't bought these wings. The others I bought are just as good looking and do not suffer form the slow position change. They are also slightly more animated. The only thing the others lack really is the hug and shield wing positions, which stops them from being perfect. At least if I really want to do that, I can put these wings on instead. That's the only thing these will be used for though, unfortunately.

An amazing pair of Wings, with some Drawbacks.

Upside...
The Wings themselves are amazing, detailed, and the hud allows for so many different color options. The different poses for the wings that are available are what drew me to them in the first place. Hugging, and Shield options being the most prominent of them all.

Downside...
These wings are incredibly prim heavy, normal set being 160 and 150 prims, the Nano set being 261 and 260 prims. Changing between wing poses takes a few moments.

Summary.
The creator obviously put a lot of work into these wings to give people options and have them look quite amazing. However its hard to decide if running around with these wings really is something I want to do, due to the effect they may cause on busy sims.
I leave it to others to decide if the linden cost is worth it.

Not perfect, but beautiful

These are some really nice looking wings, however:

1. The "nano" wings are only 9 prims when scaled to a normal sized avi, while the "normal" wings are a whooping 111 prims. Even though the notecard states that the normal wings are less primheavy.
2. The wing poses would be so much easy to manage if they were actually HUD controlled, instead of changing the pose whenever you simply click the wings.

Knowing these things I probably wouldn't have bought them, since I despite the wings changing pose whenever you click them instead of being HUD managed, but these are some really nice looking wings and the textures are flawless nonetheless. I'm hoping for an updated version for sure!
