This is the DEMO version of the product. It is also available in no-transfer and full-permissions versions.
Starlight, Starbright, first mesh stars you’ll see tonight…
Here is a set of beautiful, twinkling mesh stars to light up your night and make your evening magical. They shimmer and twinkle in a very smooth animation.
You can change the color and glow using regular tinting. Also included is a full perm script to stop the shimmering (twinkling) animation, and another to start the shimmering effect.
Technical details:
• Color, glow and size can be changed using the regular SL editing tools.
• Each linked stars object will only need one running script.
• Stars are animated in a pleasant twinkling pattern (see "watch in action" under the image above,) without causing any sim lag, other than an idle script (you can remove the script, if you want, after you rez the stars.)
Included in this product:
• 6x6x3 meters, 96 individual stars, Land Impact 2:
◦ Comes in three different star sizes (small, regular and big,) all containing 96 stars each.
◦ Every constellation containing stars in two tints, bluish and yellowish.
◦ These can be unlinked to form smaller 3x3x3 meter, 24 star constellations.
• 20x20x5 meters, 40 individual stars, Land Impact 2:
◦ Comes in two different star sizes (regular and big,) both containing 40 stars each.
◦ Every constellation containing stars in only one tint, yellowish by default.
• 20x20x5 meters, 80 individual stars, Land Impact 5:
◦ Comes in two different star sizes (regular and big,) both containing 80 stars each.
◦ Every constellation containing stars in two tints, bluish and yellowish.
You can cover larger areas by stretching the stars, or adding more copies, but in both cases, larger areas will mean more Land Impact.

I can't really rate the product poorly based on this demo. it shows the scripting brilliantly. because its a demo it is no mod - as expected. I was hoping there might be a NC giving indication of prim weight as the stars are enlarged. How much cost do they have when covering a larger area? - 6x6x3 isn't very big, say you have a ballroom that is 20 by 20 and want them on the ceiling. Is it more effective to stretch or tile these? How much does each unit of 24 cost (is it .1, .5. .7?). How much does the scripting add? if you link 2 so that you get 6x12x3 can one script still handle the twinkle? I assume so from the description but this demo doesn't say.
Effective show of the scripting. looks like a quality product. I am considering buying the full per version if I can get more info. If you just want the no trans ones and are curious about the look this is an excellent way to view it. the maker has made a lovely item from the looks of this demo.
4 stars out of 5 because of lack of info for builders seeking to know more about the full perm product. A NC with the basic info about weights and such would be great and make this demo outstanding.
