Introducing the Northern Operations line of Maritime Chronographs.

There are two current build versions: The Ship's Bell and the Iron Armillary Sundial.

Each build version (Bell or Sundial) is available in 3 time formats:

1) Sim Time (Region Time):
runs at 4 Real Life hours equaling 1 SL day, this time is taken directly from the Region's Time clock.

2) Pacific Standard Time (PST):
the standard time used by Secondlife, also referred to as SL Time (SLT).

3) Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) for the pure nautical enthusiast:
the clock time at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London. It is the same time year round and is not affected by Summer Time or Daylight Savings Time. When the sun is at its highest point exactly above the Prime Meridian, it is 12:00 noon at Greenwich, England. Longitude 0° 0' 0" Latitude 51° 28' 38"N (North of the Equator) marks the starting point of every Time Zone of the time zone map.

Each time format can select 1 of 3 time displays as hover text. Each time display option is cycled through by touching the chronograph.

*24 hour clock display, i.e. - "15:54:36"

*12 hour clock display with AM/PM indicator, i.e. - "03:54:36 PM"

*Nautical time displayed as Watch Bells remaining time, i.e. - "Afternoon Watch Seven Bells 24:36". This mode will also chime the bells on each half hour, ie ding,ding, pause, ding,ding, pause, ding,ding, pause, ding.

The strikes of a ship's bell do not accord to the number of the hour. Instead there are eight bells, one for each half-hour of a four-hour watch. In the age of sailing, watches were timed with a 30-minute hourglass. Bells would be struck every time the glass was turned, and in a pattern of pairs for easier counting, with any odd bells at the end of the sequence.
