Signal Fire

Signal fires have been used since ancient times for long-distance signaling and communication: often serving the same purpose as lighthouses, warning ships of cliffs, or watchtowers, warning allies or communities of approaching enemies, they were generally large piles of wood, kept ready to be alighted when need be at a given location.

The Trident Signal Fire is a 10 Mt tall pile of logs,with a straw pile at its base,resting on a stone platform. The 3 prim stone platform, when clicked, will bring up a menu, allowing you to rez the wooden pile. Another click wil instantly derez the wood pile and substitute it with the burning version, textured as burning wood,with gorgeous tall roaring flames and smoke, thus creating the perfect illusion of the wooden pile being alighted without "manually" rezzing/derezzing.

You can opt to permanently keep out either the 3 prim stone base or 11 prim base and wood pile, and use the 14 prim base and burning pile only when needed.

The Signal Fire will perfectly fit tall cliffs overlooking the sea, or strategic locations around a village, city or camp, used as a warning of impending danger. Being Copiable,it will also allow you to create a net of Signal Fires,that, in roleplay, can be lit one after the other, maybe creating a warning net over several sims.

Please note that as with other Trident "warning items" of this kind (Warning Bells and Horns,Tribal Gongs), we deliberately chose not to have Signal Fires "communicate" with each other automatically with a script, because we feel that it's only fair and realistical that each Signal Fire should be "manned" in order to be lit.
