It's a simple thing for folks tired of the "glitz" and looking for some "nice." It's also cheap so be nice even if you don't like it.

No Resizer & No Mod
Any jewelry maker in SL is going to provide a modifiable version, or a resizer script... At least one or the other. This one has neither. Not the perfect size? Too bad. lol
