Skye Cave System Building Set
Time to dig!
I am proud to present this cave building system (as requested by Skye News Group). It's a flexible, modular system of walls, floor and roofs which can be used to make a huge variety of caves and tunnels - both small and... infinite*!. There are a number of prefab sections included so you can quickly build a cave system - relax and enjoy or rip it apart and customise to your heart's content. It's up to you!

The caves are supplied with 4 rock types which use mineral rich subterrain textures.

Prefabs are design to join together straight or at angles. All parts are tweakable to get the joints the way you want them.
TIP: You can use tunnels as ramps (if you tweak angle of stalagtites to obey gravity!)

a 8m x 16m arch is 2 LI

Good complexity, meh textures
The multiple pieces provided are well designed for complexity...you have endless possibilities for building as intricate a cave/cavern system as you might want. The major downside is in the texturing, which is not up to normally exceptional Skye realism standards. Hopefully Alex will update it at some point to what he's used in his other sets that look far more like natural rocks. While there are a few color choices provided for the rocks, for some baffling reason there is no option at all to remove the glaringly unattractive colored veins throughout the rock. You also cannot choose the color of these veins. I can't even tell what these colored veins are supposed to represent (lichen? moss? ore?)...whatever the idea behind these colors, they really just end up looking like some hooligan vandal randomly threw a lot of garish paint all over the place. So top stars for complexity, but the overall realism could use some work...adding some texturing options to get rid of the colored veins and match the rock texture of the Epic Cliff set would make this Cave system look so much more realistic.
