I feel fabulous!
I was worried that this wouldn't work quite write with avatar because I changed it to an anthro wolf, but they work beautifully and they look amazing!!! I could not be happier! These were definitely worth the L$99. ^_^
Flexiprim Texture Fun on some Lovely Wings
Pair of thing sheet flexiprims with a an fluffy wing texture painted on to them. Nothing so fancy as more elaborately animated and modeled wings out there. However, The flex of the prims gives the wings a nice degree of blend and motion that flows with your avatar. There's a HUD control that tweaks the prim positions and the flex parameters to give the wings a wide variety of emotion and sway.
The wings read as being no-mod. However, they are actually quite modifiable. I turned off the fullbright and replaced it just a touch of glow. Since the wings are white they are easily retintable to a wide variety of colors. I also stripped out the xcite scripts, cutting the script count down to 4 (There's a script in the sub prims, naughty naughty).
The HUD, while easy to understand, could do for better input feedback. At times I wasn't sure 100% if I was doing what I thought I was doing.
Since it's effectively a pair of prims with nice texture work and decent flexi-prim manipulation it's going to be far easier on other's graphics processing then more intricate wings, making them club friendly .
And of course there's the price tag, 99 lindens, that's not even half a US dollar. A candybar is more expensive then these wings. I can't think of much of a reason to not buy. Honestly I prefer the flexi-prim approach because of the smooth ethereal quality to the animations, I was trying to make an avatar that looked otherworldly when I bought these. These wings captured it.
I will warn you, large alpha textures on your back will result in alpha-sorting issues, if the club you take these two have a crazy particle-light-show some things might end up odd looking ;)

These wings are soooooo perfect!!!! When it says soft, they really mean it. The look of them look soft, but they also make you look feirce, and dangerous. These are wonderful and lovely. Would totally recommend!!
