The Srs Corp. Quantommy features 7 snazzy skins! Damage works with Linden damage combat, may work with certain meter systems.
You can also toss the magazine and shoot it to make it explode, wow!

Beautiful zapper gun
I can't really say anything about the shooting game aspects of this gun, like bullet drop, combat meter compatibility.
I don't run around playing SL shooter games. In my view SL is just not a great technological platform for that. I prefer playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 and the likes for shooting instead.
I'm really using the gun for cosmetic and RP reasons and just shoot a few lightnings for fun now and then.
I greatly modified the thing it by linking all sorts of mesh objects to it.
So now my customized gun has things like a scope, a gauge, a glowing light, and even crossbow style of extending arms turning this gun into a custom Chewbacca style steampunk zapper gun/crossbow.
I had been looking for something like this for a very long time in SL. I'm glad I finally found this to customize and to modify for my avatar.
Should you want to link objects like a scope or other things to it, make sure you link the parts right so the link numbers of the original parts are the same as in the original or the script might do odd things with your custom version.
This may sound like a simple and easy thing to ensure, but it's really not, because of the odd and broken way SL assigns link numbers.
Fantastically Beautiful Model. Room For Improvement As Weapon.
Alright so first off, let's start with the positives:
As said in the title, the model and textures of the weapon are superb, as per this creator's usual work, and at less than half the complexity of our own standard battle rifle. The gun itself, whilst I have some issues with it, is perfectly serviceable and everything on it works as advertised.
The so-so:
The animations are dated and a little janky.
The particles, while cool, also look a little old. Not entirely sure on that. They do, however obscure your field of view if you're zoomed in, and may disguise some of the bullet drop in this weapon from the user.
Ballistic drop. While it's really cool that this weapon has it, it's a -touch- extreme. Aiming parallel to the ground to hit anything past 120m at the same altitude is a fool's errand.
The magazine toss feature, while neat, isn't all that useful as it still needs to be shot to explode. If you need line-of-sight on the mag, and the explosion radius isn't all that high, you might as well just shoot your target.
The negatives:

This, as has been shrieked at me from other sources in the combat community lately, is mostly a matter of preference, but this result is from mag-dumping at 90m, centered on a 3x3m target. It's frankly amusing accuracy is not a result I'd expect from an SMG, even a futuristic one. Moreover, the near perfect-square spread pattern is repeatable in all instances, and again is something I'd expect to see in a more dated weapon, as more modern groups have moved towards conical spread. Not sure what happened there. The weapon was scripted by syrinx/infinite rage, so take that as you will.
So in short, while I would love to get the model for this thing and have it rescripted, I think I'd only use it against people using similar guns. Would I care to 1v1 someone using it vs my standard rifle? At long range I could probably handle it, but at short range I'd prefer not.
Final Grade: Solid C+
Cheers.
