Each drape moves separately from the other, so you can open both, or one side or the other. Click on a drape to open. Click to close. (They open horizontally.) They do not have degrees of opening. The drapes are either fully closed, fully open, or one side or the other fully open. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SECONDARY PICTURES DO NOT REPRESENT THE COLOR OF THE DRAPES YOU ARE GETTING. The secondary pictures are for the purpose of showing the open positions of the drapes. You will be getting the color of drapes shown in the main picture.
