Clicking on staff toggles particle effects.
My staves do not contain any spells or combat scripts, except for the particle effects shown. However, all staves can be copied and modified to add your own scripts, or can be used in conjunction with a spell HUD.

It's alright.
It's not the highest quality staff out there, but it's not bad either. It was a little big for my avatar as well, and I had to order the smaller version separate, wasting a bit of money on it. I am starting to think all of the Talevin's Designs are larger than average and that the 'petite' sized items are just normal.
