The hand phaser is ideal for situations where you want your landing party to be able to defend themselves without an obvious display of being armed.
A highly-detailed model (yet with a lag-friendly land impact of 1), the hand phaser is materials enabled, giving it a more realistic texturing than simple colouring alone could achieve.
The phaser can be worn on your rear hip and drawn/holstered via the included HUD or through a simple chat command on channel 5 (so no speaking in public chat is required).
Once drawn, your phaser can be fired by clicking your left mouse button, producing the expected bright blue beam and a sound effect sampled directly from the original series.
Please note that the phaser pistol does no actual damage; it is simply a prop/accessory/special effect.

This is a top-shelf recreation of the original Star Trek: TOS-series phaser I. The build quality is excellent as are the textures and animations. On top of all that you've got a fantastically low price making not adding this to your Trek collection a most illogical decision.
