By using this scripted object you can easily control the music stream on your land thanks to a convenient and easy to use menu. Click the object, select the stream name and voilà!
Perfect for a club not wanting to invest in a heavy system, or for a home land setup with a few radios you like.
IMPORTANT RESTRICTION due to SL, PLEASE READ (no refunds)
The Stream switcher will ONLY work if the owner of the object is also the land owner.
IF the land is deeded to a group, then the stream switcher object has to be deeded to the same group.
2 versions are provided : one is copyable but not transferable, the other is transferable but not copyable. Both are modifiable (object, not script). The transferable version is meant for situations where you have to deed it to a group, more info about this in the manual.

To define a new station just add its name and URL to a line inside the ".stations" notecard! It could not be simpler!
Options exist (in the ".options" notecard) to control menu access: it can be anyone (use ACCESS=PUBLIC) or group wearer (use ACCESS=GROUP), or owner only (use ACCESS=OWNER), or explicitly designated avatars by their name or UUIDs in a "white list" (use ACCESS=WHITELIST).
You can also fine-tune the appearance of the hover text displaying the station name (or even remove it).
Of course example notecards are provided with comments, just edit them and it's done!
Don't like the simple sphere-like switcher ? Just grab its contents (script and notecards) and put them into another prim to instantly turn your favorite furniture, plant or whatever into an fully functional stream switcher! You might just save one prim too :)

This Does the Job as Advertised
I bought this for a fairly busy club with lots of scripting already all over and I really like that it does what it needs to without all the high tech stuff that causes lag! It is easy to set up and work with and straight forward in the instructions. I made a master copy for the folder along with a master copy of the options and dj station notecards so that I can make changes quickly and easily. I retextured mine just for fun also. The one small issue that I had with it was that once I deeded it to the group and land that does not belong to me I cannot make changes to it until I return it to myself, but the creator is looking for a fix to that for the future. The creator seems kind and helpful and willing to take input for updates. Thank you for making and selling an item that does what it says and works just fine!
Disappointed
Love the ability to load all my stations... BUT... you streamer spams local over and over again and since you made it no mod, I cant turn it off. VERY DISAPPOINTED :(
