Tokugawa Heavy Industries is proud to annouce it's new line of Optical Implants. Designed to be stylish and functional, the {Optical Shades} have several modes of functionality. Providing eye protection as well as scanner-blocking capabilities, along with real time targeting assistance and direct network access. When activated, the device projects a solid, reflective lens surface infront of the eye which offers protection as well as effectively neutralizing iris based identity scanners. This also creates a surface in which visual data can be projected for the user in the form of a real time heads up display.

The Optical Shades have two modes of functionality. Clicking the shades ONCE will toggle the lens on or off. Clicking and HOLDING for 3 to 4 seconds will bring up the color change menu.
The Shades have two textures, the default black, and a white texture. The white texture is then recoloured for the two other options, red and olive drab. You can easily mod them with whatever color you want by selecting the white texture in the menu, and then modifying the object. The preset colors have been added for your convenience.
The scripts are NO MODIFY but the object itself is Mod/Copy.

How much better could it get?
I would buy them again, also recommend them to anybody who enjoyed the game that served as inspiration for this product. Fantastic value. Simply flawless look and functionality as always!
Somewhat malfunctioning?
The build is great, but the scripts hinder it. If you switch between the lens states, ie from on to off to on again, they get stuck halfway from being off to on. I don't think it's the sim either, I'm on an utterly empty sim with zero restrictions. They look great, but I don't think they're worth 300L with the misbehaving state switch.

Now these for me personally were one of those last minute star finds where I had to be a little less specific in my searches because I was attempting to make an Adam Jensen inspired avatar. I had just given up randomly typing in all the different abbreviations for glasses and what pops up as I lost hope? these beauties! I couldn't help but jump out of my chair in excitement especially since the optical shades in the game are one of the main attributes that compliment AJ and these are BANG on. Lucky I had some lindens spare from finding close enough parts for the other bits of the outfit, surprisingly I found some pretty damn close replacements but I wasn't trying to BE AJ, just have an avatar inspired by.
One thing the creator should bare in mind is the transparency of the shades themselves...the disappearing and reappearing is fine for me personally because you cant make everything perfect however its just how transparent they are when active...I don't like manually tweaking items because I usually end up messing things up so if the creator could possibly make the glass itself have an options for multiple transparency options the most obvious option been 0% transparency when active in the menu that would be perfect because then anyone really wanting to cos-play AJ perfectly can do so with at least one item of clothing.
5* for me, great design and well made. If the creator could just update these with the transparency issue these would for me be easily worth an extras 100-150 lindens but that's just me.

first off, these are some wicked ass kickin good lookin lenses here guys. cant deny this. secondly.... nubbys and not so much of the modders beware...these were straight up a bitch and a fukin half to get into place..until..i found out a simple trick. seemed obvious afterwards really. ok no matter how much you want..these prolleh wont fit yer head for shit..regardless of large or small sizes..sorreh creator..but this is how it maaaybe should have been done. it worked wonders for me. ok drop down the size you want and edit them. select edit linked parts ok? then highlight only one of the glasses and then unlink it. befre you mess up (ctrl+z is the undo hotkey btw) shift+L click the other shated they will take off the controller sphere and the other pair of glasses. link the blank slate together. do this with the other pair, being sure to keep the sphere OFF (it's invisible so use ctrl+alt+t to see it duh right?) then take a COPY of this, or just take it an drop two down. then right click edit the left, then shift click the sphere (which ever doesnt matter.) make sure to click the sphere last then link it together. this is to make moving it into place easier. do the same with the right. if you have to edit the linked sphere closer, then do so. now while it's on the ground name each one left or right to keep it easy. pick it back up and attach like normal. move it into place until satisfied. now ion..why do i need the sphere? simple it's the thing that drives the scripts from what i can see. now one last thing if/when you click the lenses they will no longer be that solid color..they will then only be see through or completely gone. maybe there will be an update later to change this? or add data ream flows? who knows.. now granted to make each one go away you have to click each one. but maybe you only want one away at a time? this will help with that.
now even though i had to rework it. in the comments below i will say why i gave it the rating i did.

Heavy script load and takes a bit of adjusting (what doesn't on SL) but other than that the glasses are awesome. Just like the ones from Deus Ex: HR except the lenses only fade away. Awesome anyway.
Fiddled with the shine and transparency myself and I love how they look.
