TDS Horse Jump System

Horse Jump is timed event that features a horse and one mounted rider,
running a predefined path and jumping over different obstacles.

Show jumping, also known as "stadium jumping", "open jumping", or "jumpers", is a
member of a family of English riding equestrian events.
It is a relatively new equestrian sport. Until the Inclosure Acts,
which came into force in England in the 18th century, there had been little
need for horses to jump fences routinely, but with this act of Parliament
came new challenges for those who followed fox hounds. The Inclosure Acts
brought fencing and boundaries to many parts of the country as common ground
was dispersed amongst wealthy landowners. This meant that those wishing to
pursue their sport now needed horses that were capable of jumping these obstacles.

Wrong / missed passages or knockdowns incur a 5 second penalty.

The package includes several jump obstacles that can be arranged in an arbitrary
sequence.
As the system has to check if the jumps were passed successfully and in the right
order there is a notecard in each jump. The name of the notecard is the number
ob the jump in the sequence, starting with 0. This means that the first jump
has to have a notecard inside named "0", the second jump a notecard named "1", etc.
The total number has to be configured in the starter controller, where you will find
a notecard that contains the number of jumps, e.g. 6 if there are 6 jumps on track.

- 6 Jumps, an optional creators kit to build your own and additional jumps will

- Default track pattern, this pattern can be followed but you can set up your own
pattern instead

Competition Starter

In the competition package, the following additional elements can be found:

- The Horse Jump Starter package
- Horse Jump competition controller, enabling competitive races between
up to 5 participants, through one to three laps.
- Horse Jump results display board, showing the summary results of the last
race or competition.

Competition Complete

For the professional rider or event organizer, there the competition complete
package with two additional displays for large events:

- The Horse Jump Competition Starter package
- Horse Jump Highscore display, showing the 10 fastest riders of the track,
where each rider can have multiple entries on the display.
- Horse Jump Top 10 display, showing the 10 fastest riders of the track,
where each rider is only shown with the fastest time achieved.
