Hello there, my name is Teddy. I am here to tell you my story.... I am, clearly, a teddy bear, but I am far more than that. I am a proud supporter of the Relay for Life in Second Life!
I was created by the inspiration of a real life bear my creator owns. She was given that bear a very long time ago by someone who loved her very much and is no longer with her. That bear, well, me...I was responsible for helping her get through the rough patches while she dealt with the dark touch of cancer. As it took hold of her and her life. I was there to catch her every tear. I was there to cuddle with her at night as she was stuck in bed away from her family and friends for so long. I was there the day they finally told her that nasty boogie monster was gone too. Sadly, just 12 years later I was there to catch her tears again. I was there to calm her nerves and cuddle with her as she watched her daddy slowly slip away. That evil boogie monster had struck again. Unlike her story, her daddy's did not end with a happily ever after. I want to help make a change. So that ALL stories end, with a happily ever after.
I'm willing to bet everyone reading this has felt that cold boogie monster's touch at some point in their lives. He's evil, not discriminatory in the least, and he needs to be stopped NOW! He hurts people, he breaks up families, he steals away childhoods. He takes our friends and loved ones before we're ready to let them go. He's a very very mean boogie monster and I don't like him one bit.
But we have hope, and we have strength, and in all things we do we can make a difference. That's why we have Relay for Life in Second Life. We are here to make a difference, to stand up to that evil monster and tell him "No More!!". My shield is my ribbon. It protects me. It gives me strength and courage to go on, even when it gets tough. My ribbon stands for hope. If I never lose hope, I will never lose this battle. One day we will defeat him, and he will be gone forever. Please stand with me, and make a difference today! You can do it, I know you can!!
All over Second Life you will see white and purple vendors and kiosks. Those are there to collect donations, or sell items with the proceeds going directly to The American Cancer Society. Now I'm going to ask you for a huge favor. It's a big one, but I know you're up for it. I challenge each and every person reading this, to find one kiosk per week, and donate to it. It doesn't matter how much you donate, every single linden makes a difference. Every single linden goes towards spreading awareness, helping those who've been touched by his evil hand, and ultimately finding a cure. Every linden is as important as the next. Just as YOU are as important as every other person on this planet.
Please help this little bear make a big difference. To date this bear has been a proud supporter of Relay for Life in Second Life for 8 years!!! (Yes, really, as of 2018, 8 years!!) He has raised more than $7,000L all on his own. A very big accomplishment for such a lil ball of fluff. He wants to do more, but he needs your help. Every linden raised by purchasing this bear goes directly into a kiosk and then on to The American Cancer Society. This bear doesn't choose teams, he just wants to make a difference. Will you help him?

Yes, we know, it's not mesh, but it's still beautiful and was loads of fun to make, especially for us old timers that love the whimsy and old fashioned nature of a great prim or sculpt ;)
Seriously, I do know there are far better products you could spend your money on, mesh products, updated products, and probably ones that take up less LI too. I appreciate each and every one of you that still comes to visit this store. It means a lot to this nearly completely blind woman.
Honestly, each and every customer is precisely why I build and create in sl at all, and you have kept me going long after I was told I should probably stop, given the fact that I can barely see at this point. This bear was born out of love, awareness, and the desire to DO something, and he, along with you, has accomplished that goal. From the very bottom of my heart, and every other bit of me too, I thank you all. Even just glancing is a good deed, and you should be happy you've made someone happy just by looking.
Thank you, and have a wonderful day!
