Celebrating our first birthday at Alchemy Immortalis ...

When we launched in 2009, we offered 5 different harpsichords. There were two top-line designer styles, including the "Eros", and "Celestia", as well as 3 classic wood models, including the "Ebony", "Walnut", and "Ivory" editions.

One of the things that we try very hard to do is give our customers high quality treasures with lots of value. We offer free upgrades, and do our best to add new features and more power with each new release.

For our first birthday we wanted to celebrate by adding even more magic into our inaugural product: the harpsichord, so we packed more features into the songbook, gave you twice as many songs, and rolled all 5 harpsichords into 1!

Not only are we giving you lots more features in a single product, we even dropped the price! .... and ...

Existing owners of any of the five original harpsichords get this upgraded version at no cost.

ABOUT "THE EMPRESS" HARPSICHORD

"The Empress" double manual harpsichord is an artistic interpretation of a harpsichord built by Andreas Ruckers of Antwerp in 1638. Although the first harpsichord actually dates back to 1397 the Ruckers family built theirs from 1580-1680. Their work was so cherished that their designs were continually copied by harpsichord makers through 18th century England and France.

Harpsichords in general are more decorative than pianos, and we reflect that in the Empress Collection. For the decorative elements on the panels we pulled from the rich history of fantastical 17th century cornices and crestings, a touch of Baroque art and architecture which is unrestrained in concept, abundant in spirit and luxuriant in detail.

In particular we celebrate the art of Jacques Stella and his niece from the later part of the 15th to mid 16th centuries. Some of the elements were first published in Paris in 1658.

Simply...

Posted March 04, 2019 by Gwador Merlin 5 stars

Simply the best.

I own a lot of instruments in SL. This is really the best one I've used. Sophisticated design: Songbook scrolls pages when the next song comes up, the avatar stops playing until next song starts... never seen better on any other instrument in SL.
Last but not least good sound quality without the "hickups" and breaks SL usually produces.

Great instrument for great price.
Just more songs (Second Songbook) would be nice :)
