This is SL's only fully functional pirate ship! You and your crew wear a HUD to aim the cannons and fire them. The ship's HP is displayed on the HUD, as is the ammount of ammunition left. If you run out of ammunition, you can just pull up next to the Ammo Depot (included) and click it to re-stock.

Anyone with a HUD (and who knows what channel you set your ship to) can control the cannons, but only the owner can actually pilot the ship. The physics are very similar to Kanker Greenacre's realistic SL sailboat, but have been tweaked to act more like the sort of ship this is. I've added a second sail, which also effects the physics.

Two or more of these ships can engage in battle; they sense and record hits from each other. When your hp gets to a certain level, the ship will become incapacitated and will billow smoke. If it gets down to 0 HP, it will capsize, then sink to the bottom of the sea.

In combination with the Speculaas melee system, this makes for some very exciting naval battles!

I have been updating this ship continually, and will continue to do so. Just IM Chase Speculaas for free updated versions of the ship or for help with any technical problems with it :)

--Ship sinks to the bottom of the sea a little while after capsizing
--has a wind indicator
--now has more stable (but still varying) wind than SL wind
--ship textures can all be MODIFIED!
--health sensor is also compatible with Speculaas Designs muskets
--box included which gives out instructions, HUDs, and Melee sensors
--Ship causes very little lag
--HUDs can operate on 20 differnt channels
--Several sail colors settable with voice command

First, I've seen fancier, greater detailed, highly sophisticated pirate ships in the Second Life BUT I'm giving this pirate ship five stars because it delivers what it promises and does so very well. What you're getting is an inexpensive pirate ship with multiple working cannons and an HUD system that allows you to easily work your ship and fire your guns. I would highly recommend this pirate ship to anyone who is looking for some pirating fun!
