WallMode allow you to write on any vertical surface no matter what your mouselook angle is as long as you are facing your target.
AimMode is the older writting mode.

Seriously, there are a lot of nice features in the can and it does very well. I used it in my hangout and I am going to go in later to see the responses of having "Rats are the best" on the wall. X)
I gave 4 stars for one reason here, although this is a really neat product.. I would have liked having a private channel for doing the commands. It'd add to the surprise if you used it to show a meaningful note to a partner or just an event coming up. When this is added and I notice it, I will definitely change this from 4 to 5 stars. So much awesomeness. =3
