Looks great from the outside and amazing textures but..
The doors don't work most of the time and why is there a pole in the way of the front door. Going upstairs becomes a hassle on your camera. I am not a tall avatar but the roof is not high enough that camera freaks out every time you try to go upstairs. I would not recommend this house unless you are good at editing objects. You will spend few hours trying to fix the doors and trying to link the home together to lower land impact. I really only gave it 3 stars because the materials look amazing and it looks great from the outside.
Beautiful House
BUT. I am not a builder, but I have enough experience in homes to realize straight away that this house was in too many unlinked pieces. I removed the pool and palm trees because I wanted to use my own pool and I have a forest landscape that palms looked silly in. I removed the wooden doors (lovely but 12 prims each!). I then created a base to go under the deck and match my pool...this came to 7 prims. I then linked all the phantom parts, then linked all the non phantom parts. Including my pool base, I dropped the prims for the whole house down to 141. That is a significant drop and I think the creator should have done this to begin with. For this price in a home, there really isn't any excuse to not make this more prim friendly. As far as the house goes otherwise, this is indeed a very beautiful home, the design is simple and elegant and just right in size. So many homes in SL are far too big or far too small to be "liveable" on a day to day basis. This house is inviting, easy on the eyes and the textures are lovely. My only other recommendation to the creator to make this house absolute perfection would be to include a version without the bathroom utilities (therefore no shadows to those items) because the size of these items as provided will not fit all avatars. I do recommend the house, but I was disappointed in how much work I had to put into it to make it work for me. On first rezz...there should only have been 2 sections and 4 doors.
Changed review
Originally I bought this house and it didn't have any doors. Which I wrote a review and complained about. After seeing this the creator updated the house and added some doors. Within less then a day, mind you. I'm quite happy with it now. The textures are high quality, just wish I had gotten the furnished version.
