Details Features Contents Reviews (0)

Hello, parody fans! SonicBlu Darkfold here. Over the years, I have released about 10 albums, chock full of parody songs and originally written songs. I was suggested to upload all my singles by a friend many years ago, and I only just now got around to taking his advice. Available now on SL, I will be featuring all of my greatest hits as singles, and I'm not stopping with just releasing the singles, but I'm also going to include a free functional record player so you can play my singles in world! How cool is that? Keep checking back to my marketplace for any new single releases! Now for some information about this item...

This particular song is taken from my second album in 2005, called "Welcome to McDonalds". I originally wrote this song back in 1991 after a friend and I came back from our bowling game, and we were sitting at the Cambridge Coffee House in Newhall, California. I was feeling creative, and began to start doodling on the back of our score sheet, and then we started to parody each other's doodles, which led to a drawing of a convenience store clerk, which escalated to a drawing of a McDonalds employee, and at that very moment, I was struck with the urge to write this very song after my friend said, "Welcome to McDonalds, may I McHelp you?" From 1991 onward, I haven't done anything more with the lyrics of the song, but I held onto that bowling score sheet for years, until I moved away from my parents in the year 2000. They held onto my bowling bag which has the original score sheet inside, and by 2004, I had released my first parody album, "Fur, Folks, & Fun" and was working on my second one. The first thing I thought of to put onto the new album was my old "Welcome To McDonalds" parody that I had written so very long ago, but I couldn't remember all of the lyrics. Some of the elements of the song I remembered, and the parts I didn't recall, I tossed in other ideas. The ending result wound up to be this very song you have before you.

The record player itself is fully functional, complete with a cabinet lid, turntable, arm stylus, and the record does spin along with the turntable. Click the cabinet door to open the record player, and then click the spinning record to play the song. Click it again to stop the song at any time.

PLEASE NOTE: The song may skip or hesitate during your first time playing, but if it happens, let the song play through the first time, and by the second time you play it, it should play without skips or hesitations. (This is very normal, due to issues either with lag in Second Life or how fast of an internet connection you may be using.)
