Initially, I was unsure whether I wanted to make such a big investment on a lute when there were others out there for less. However, after some discussion on the process of adding my own music to this one with the designer, I was almost convinced. I decided to take the plunge, since of all the lutes on SL, this one had the most songs, was the only one with the carrying leather sack option and the particle musical note and shimmer effects. The designer was so helpful even before I had bought it.
I AM THRILLED WITH THIS PRODUCT! It is even more than I hoped for. The quality is amazing. The instructions are clear and comprehensively complete. The sound is beautiful. I cannot find a single bit of regret for the expense: this was worth every Linden and more.
Very well crafted. The carry bag is a very nice touch. The music is also very clear and crisp. I enjoy this item very much and its my favorite thing to play in SL.
I dont RP as much...which is why I got this in the first place...but its still fun to play. I sopke with the creator in world to try to buy it. At the time it has to be purchased on Xstreet. But its worth it. ANd the creator is very friendly and sweet.
If you are looking for a lute...this is THE lute to buy. Worth every linden.
this ia brilliant lute! totaly amasing in everyway. the song will skip the first tim you play it when you log in but after that is works without a bug

I had my eye on this item for awhile. I wanted a nice instrument with lots of music attached to it, and this seemed like it fit with my personal vision, and I enjoyed the music that the demo had to offer. Of course, $1500L is a lot to drop on a musical instrument, but once I purchased it and worked with it a bit to fit with my avatar, it looks and functions great. :)
My only real complaint is that sometimes the music cuts off just before it ends... but that can't be helped, due to the fact that that is just how SL is. Albeit, I would really love some more songs for it. Can't ever have too many songs.
I really loved the particle effects, though. It was that extra little thing that won me over on the item when I started fiddling with it. I also love that, dispite being a complete item, it is a blank canvas to customize as your own. This might set some people off, but I love that fact. You can really make this instrument your own, as it is generic enough to add to it whatever you wish to add to it... whether it be ribbons, feathers, changing the textures, etc.
All in all, it's a great product... especially if you love to customize things that look plain to match your style. People who don't like to modify their things/can't modify their things might find it is a bit bland for $1500, and lacking that little 'extra'... but modders will appreciate the 'blank slate' it provides.
