Authentic design, original mesh Tricorne Hat

This is the fatpack of four Special Edition hats (and all other options as below).

Tricorne hats (a.k.a. cocked hats) were very popular wear during the 18th Century. From servants to sailors to Sirs, everyone wore a tricorne. The rich wore them to show off their posh wigs, everyone else wore them because they were compact enough to take off and carry under the arm (essential manners when entering a building).

And of course, it's the classic pirate hat!

This is a period-authentic hat, lovingly (and painstakingly) crafted in mesh with textures created in photoshop just for this.

Apart from its fashionable good looks, the hat features:

All LOD levels crafted manually in Blender to optimise the close-up detail, maintain appearance at a distance appearance and minimise the render cost. The hat will never disappear until the viewer's view limit is reached.

The hat uses efficient and attractive, UV and AO mapped textures. Being Mod/Copy, the hat can be customised to your taste and the mapping is split into four faces to make that easier for you. However...

...To make life even easier, the hat is loaded with an extensive texture change menu with many presets. Available from the menu are an assortment of preset colours and textures for hat material, laces, trim, specular and glow on the metallics. The white texture is a plan but AO (i.e. shadows included) mapped texture mostly intended as a base for your own colour tinting. Or you could just have a white hat.

The laces can be removed completely (alpha'd out by the menu) or you can remove just the front (really the back, but pirates wear it backwards) lace to put your own emblem there instead.

Hat Felt colours: Red, Green, Blue, Brown, Purple, Grey, White, Black (the whole hat gets this tint).
Extra Lace and Trim Colours: Silver, Gold, Copper, Grey, White, Black.
Specular settings: Low, High or None on all the above.
Glow setting: On/Off on the metallic trim colours only.

Over 15000 preset combinations!

The Special Edition versions of the hat have an additional, unique texture to the above. This can easily be restored at any time from the menu. The plain (not really plain!) version starts white and you can use the menu to choose whatever colour combination you want. Of course, make lots of copies and set them all up differently!

The menu has a delete script option which I *Highly Recommend* you use when you have set up the hat. It reduces lag especially on teleport and sim-crossing. Just make sure to be wearing a COPY of the hat when you delete it. (No worries, there's a backup in the delivery folder).
