Revisiting the grand and sheer beauty of illumination, Victorian visionary Owen Jones published The Grammar of Ornament in 1865, depicting his theories on decoration, ornament and color, as well as the importance of balance and subtlety. This archival reproduction is of a plate from this very important.
Printed on archival paper, capturing all of the rich color and detail, this work is framed in dark brown and black wood, with a rich gold inner band, and protected under glass.
