Make avatar 2.0 Great again!
This is the long overdue fitted mesh update as well as bento face and hand rigging. You can now adjust the shape of your legs, belly and butt to make your shape more juicy. You can also adjust some of the face sliders but not all of them work. Due to the changes to the shape of the head, both old and new avatar 2.0 users that use custom shapes, will need to readjust the size, spacing and depth of your eyes for compatibility.
- About the project -
The project began with a vision of, or more like, a necessity for a better second life avatar model, one that LL failed to provide us with, or even fix any of the major flaws of the current model for years. Now that mesh is a thing on SL, we finally have the power to make that vision a reality. The main purpose of the Avatar 2.0 project was to research and develop the best possible ways to model and rig the the second life avatar, as well as how to make it a true, functional, viable alternative to the painfully outdated system avatar. So that i could apply the things i learned to my future mesh avatars. Over the time lots of new features got added and problems fixed and we are now at version 1.14
- Whats New in 1.14 -
Huge update, avatar 2.0 now partially supports fitted mesh (the whole lower body bellow the waist) as well as bento rigging for the face (not all bento features are supported due to the way the game treats custom joint positions)
Huge improvements to render weight from 32K to just 4.8K (the render weight randomly fluctuates between higher and lower numbers because the whole render weight system is garbage) as well as script optimizations.
There are now 2 versions of the body, A and B. Version A is the normal version witch is 4.8k render weight, and the experimental version B with 2k render weight witch will not work for people running the game on ghetto graphics settings.
A bunch of new features implemented such as normal/specular map support, head customization options and other neat things.
All the existing clothing have been updated to work with this new version, rez your update cards.
- About the HUDs -
The Body HUD lets you easily show and hide different body parts for use with different mesh clothing, as well as easily customize your avatar.
- Press the "Advanced" button under the figure in the main part of the HUD to switch it to Advanced mode, from here you can select what you want to hide in more detail.
- Press the gear icon button to go to the options menu to customize your avatar.
- To load a custom texture onto the body, go to the options menu of the HUD, click ADD and enter the UUID of your texture based on the given example, submit it than click load under the texture preview window.
The Head HUD lets you change your face expressions, customize the head and eyes. It also has a few extra skin customization options that the body HUD doesnt have, such as setting specular maps.
- The L and R buttons on the main part of the HUD and in the options let you select with eye you control/customize.
- Press the gear icon button to go to the options menu to customize your head and avatar.
- The options menu lets you choose different eyebrow, eyelash, skin, lip textures or load custom textures on each of the head components as well as select or load your own specular maps onto the whole avatar.
- To load a custom texture onto the head or body, go to the options menu of the HUD, click ADD and enter the UUID of your texture based on the given example, submit it and it will load automatically.
- Bonus items -
The bonus item box will now contain the older versions of the avatar as well as the UV maps and skin textures for people interested in modding the avatar.
The script commands for hiding body parts and controlling the face expressions are included as well.

- Known bugs -
Invisible LL avatar eyelashes will sometimes show up, messing with your eyes, wear a different alpha if that happens.

Great look on the avatar........however.....
This avie is really nice for several reasons....
I can use a set of mesh eyes that have the ability to focus the iris etc., which gives it more depth...
The avie also has details with clothing off that no other work offered comes close to......tiring to see the average avie with the "canyon of bleeding textures between the legs all the time when wearing bikinis...
The avatar does have two major discrepanciest. The absolute lack of detail in both the hands an feet. I have tried to use mesh items with better detail to fuse to he avie.........but this was lost, as the two sets cannot be moved to meet at a central point....so they look like a Nightmare from Elmer Fudd Street.
If this were resolved to have a happy medium to use talents from various designers........this avie would be the weapon of choice in combating the old school ideal in bleeding textures are an absolute to SL. Hopes continued research will be applied to this as it has great potential for much better opportunity.................
LOVE THIS AVATAR
This is an extremely pretty avatar. She is very fluid and seamless, the body has a brilliant shape. The body looks to be that of an avid gym goer, without too much muscle but just enough tone. The skin options are a plus. I do wish I could change make-ups, some eyeshadow and liners, lipsticks in layers that could be used for this avatar would be wonderful. Hair is not an issue, mainly re-sizable hair and mesh hair that is larger works well on her. This creator provides a nice line of clothing for her, though I'd personally love to see even more. I could be perfectly happy with this avatar, forever.
One small observation, she looks young. She has the body of a twenty something. If I use a curvy shape from Ample Avi, she looks a little older physically - However, I prefer the shape she came with more - the differences between ample and his own shape are barely noticeable once on this avatar. I'd be interested to see this creator make a skin for this body that looks just a little more mature, maybe higher cheek bones and a mouth this is a little more bow shaped and full could achieve that. I love the nose. The nose is perfection. The face shape lovely, not as flat as Linden Avatars.
Eyes are an issue - a bit. I love what came with her, but did manage to find some by ~*By Snow*~ that are XL and amazing, as she does make some in a larger size. The standard eyes are all too small, even when large. Would be ecstatic if this maker made some srsly realistic eyes that come in many colors. Maybe someone could get in on that action? I'd try but not talented (nor patient) enough.
I absolutely and unequivocally love this avatar. I wish all SL avatars could be this amazing. Five stars, easily. (Way underpriced btw.)

I love this avi it is the absolute best yet my fav! With the new hud advanced part it allows me to wear any mesh clothing on her I want! How amazing is that!
great quality
I recently bought this avi with possible fine tuning in mind. I alway have issues with my tattoos going blurry, so I liked that they provide the textures so that you can make your own skins. Ill make mine with my tattoos so that they won't blur. My mesh never blurs like default avis do. I wear this avatar without the head cause I prefer the head I made. My only dislike with this avatar is that in my case the boobs are to big. The hips seem to resize as does the height. But the breast do not.. hopefully if they ever get the deformer stuff goin they can update us with a deformer version so I can have my petite self back.
Love it but some suggestions
1) Idea to think on. Giving Avatar 2.0 segmented alpha layering in a tighter grid. This way a user can select using various female clothings that the current alpha layers become insufficient for. And then select a alpha segment conforming to that clothing. And further if time is taken to develop a fine tune menu that lets you actually edit the actual segments. This way in other situations where segments also become inefficient. A scripted fine tune can be done. Would require you to fine a scripter to go beyond simplistic menu generations. You could then sell this on its own as a optional component.
2) While I love the form. And even though you can change the avatar height. The head doesn't look right on some heights. Providing a static small, medium, large sizing on the head to work with different heights may be nice to have. We all don't like being forced to the same size. And in the same we don't want our head to be miniature on the body. Currently height can not be affected too greatly, or the head looks aweful.
3) Making Avatar pieces modular like Riku is an almost must! This way we can pick various fitted heads, hands, feet, breasts, butt, etc. To better customize ourselves. (I simply hate the new version with the smaller hands. I wear her at a height that still doesn't make her head look off. Though with the new version hands. Look so aweful with even a slight custom height.)
4) And since things can move in SL. I would love if you took the time to script the slight bounce of her breasts as she moves. Having steel boobs isn't always appealing.
5) Optional skin that hides the crotch. This allows it to be used better with such things as xcite parts. Currently at some angles seeing both bits is unavoidable.
6) Becoming personable with other mesh makers so they support Avatar 2.0. Thus increasing the clothing and/or items your users can wear.
