Marty: "Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Doc, uh... Are you telling me you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?"
Doc: "The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style? Besides, the stainless steel construction makes the flux dispersal- look out!!!"
— Doc and Marty during the first test
The DeLorean time machine was Doctor Emmett Brown's most successful invention, a plutonium-powered time machine comprised of a DeLorean DMC-12 sports car that had to reach 88 miles per hour in order to time travel. On November 5, 1955, Doc was standing on the edge of his toilet, while hanging a clock in his bathroom. But the toilet was wet, making him slip and hit his head on the sink. When he came to, he had a vision of the flux capacitor in his head. It was constructed afterward and completed in 1985.

*This car is built to scale. It has 2 sets of animations it uses depending on your avatar height. Anyone shorter than 1.58 meters will use the shorter animations. If your head is poking out the top, you can lower your hover height to make it right.

ENJOY!
Same as Bellow, too small for most avatars
only fit on very small ones and skinny ones.Cant be used most of time without some hover hight editing.
Great car but....
it's a great car...perfect for scifi fans...but...it's too small...and sadly due to my size ( 7.76 feet tall...which is on the taller av size...but not extremely tall )
the car will tilt and the butt will poke through...and resizing will ruin everything...like the doors and wheels...the creator tried helping...which is awesome...but still no luck:

thus why i give it 3 stars... i would had given it 5...if this issue was fixed...then yeah...but atm 3 stars
Greatest out there
Lots to say about this one. First, the detail is incredible. Inside, the digital speedometer works. The overthruster lights up when activated, as does it's companion on the roof. Inside is very detailed. Lights inside light up when door opens, just like a real car. Awesome pose when sitting in the car.
The outside is equally as awesome. I appreciate all the little extras depending what mode you are in. For example, Back To The future 1, you have the hook from when Marty needed power to get home. Back to the future 2, you have the flags that Marty was supposed to climb up etc.. The mash up of KITT and Back To The Future in Ready Player One mode is also incredible, and well done. I love the scanner movements, as well as KITT's voice-box. The detail on the outside is incredible, as are the effects. In hover mode, the burners light up with fire upon moving forward. Gear 4, the vehicle leaves behind fire tracks, and the details light up blue. The wheels are like actual wheels. You can actually see through the wheels like you could in a real car ( none of this picture hubcap stuff). The materials add something incredible to the car, so realistic. The side mirrors have an effect that I have never seen in Second Life until now. You have to get the car to see it to believe it.
The only thing I can think of to make this car better is to incorporate "time travel". I have seen this done by entering time travel mode, type coordinates in a sim, get up to speed, and the car will suddenly appear at the coordinates. Others, the car goes invisible after effects, and then when you get to your destination, turn the mode off and the car reapears after effects.
Also what would be cool is the ability to turn off the flux compacitor utilizing the lever inside the car like I have seen on a few others. But, other then those two things, this is by far the best delorian I have seen on the grid. I'd give 10 stars if I could, this is a must buy! And at this price, incredible! Get it now!
Super car
Super details, 2 different versions (one easy - one drifting version)
The buck stops here. This is truly the ultimate.
The sheer quality of this build is a joy to behold. That it's only L$250 is a total mystery where people will try to sell you a car with a tenth of the detail and features for ten times the price. As a modder who wants to tear things apart and redo them in my own way, it's utterly perfect. Everything on the geometry is sensibly separated, the UV mapping is great, the faces for individual areas like lights are perfectly separated, and almost everything you'll want in the car is there. Maybe the suspension bits aren't perfect and the engine is missing but there's no difficulty to dropping in any engine i'd like. There is literally no better a rendition of the DMC-12 in SL than this.
