This wedding gown is suitable for period or modern wear, and will look equally stunning in either scenario.
The gown uses a mesh bodice and skirt and lace trim but uses flexi prims for the train to give a better effect. The train uses a new script which tries to keep the train under control whilst also flowing more as it would in RL. If you are very tall then when wearing it for the first time you may need to lower it into the ground a little so that a curved end effect is achieved, but otherwise it should require no adjustment. Normally it will follow you much as a real train would. Also if you stand still and turn on the spot it will wrap around you in the same manner as employed in many photographs. Clicking on the train will straighten it if it has got in a bit of a mess, and should also be done if you see the train flapping around as can happen on laggy sims or on very high skyboxes where the wind is higher.
Like my other designs you do not have to try on several versions to see which fits. Simply wear the gown and then click the skirt, select 'Set Clothes' and then try all the dress sizes from XXS to L to see which fits you best. This allows the gown to be transfer so if you have problems with your shape you can pass it back to me for adjustment or replacement if it cannot be resized to fit.
As the skirts are much larger than normal mesh skirts the walk animations included in the built in AO have been redesigned to suit. In RL it would not even be possible to walk at the normal SL walk speed in large skirts so as well as the normal speed animations, special 'slow' versions of the animations are included which have been designed to match the standard SL slow walk rate obtained when you hold the spacebar down when moving. Alternatively click on the skirt and select Walk Speed and any rate between 3 and 5 should be suitable.
There is also a special veil density menu allowing the veil to be 'removed' by your new husband. The two bridesmaids also have a similar feature. There is also a matching HUD version of the veil so that you see a veiled scene. You cannot click on poseballs through the veil but can at the bottom of the screen.
This gown now includes the latest version 8 of our special scripts, possibly the most advanced dress control system in SecondLife. Clicking on the skirts in any sim that allows scripts will bring up a menu of options. If you find you always get the veil menu then click on the flowers at the bottom of the skirt.
The controls on the menu when the skirt is clicked are as follows :
AO On/Off, Set Head, Set Arms, Set Body, Set Walk
The gown includes an AO (Animation Overrider) with replacement animations for standing and walking. In this AO you can mix separate animations forthe head, arms, body and legs to achieve a range of looks. However the gown does not include any of the 'fidgeting' animations included in some AOs but it is now possible by selecting 'AO WalkOnly' to use another AO whilst standing and the one in the gown whilst walking should you so desire. Two special "Period Walk" and "Walk Short" animations have been added to the menus as in RL wearing this type of gown it would not be possible to walk normally. "Period Walk" uses the normal SL walk speed whilst "Walk Short" has been designed to match the standard SL slow walk rate obtained when you hold the spacebar down when moving. Alternatively click on the skirt and select Walk Speed and any rate between 3 and 5 should be suitable.
Set Clothes
This sets the dress size. The Fan command allows a fan or other object held in the right hand is waved at an average speed set in the menu but the actual interval and time the fan is flapped is randomised.
Curtsey and Bows
A wide selection of curtseys and bows are included in the gown. Clicking on these drops you into position where you will remain until you click on the skirt again whereupon you should rise.
Go2/Follow
This allows you to go to and then optionally follow another person. The person being followed can cancel this by clicking on your skirt.
Walk Speed
SL only has one basic walk speed which is fine for normal use but slower speeds can be useful for entering events, especially for the bride at weddings so as to make the time walking up the aisle more realistic. This menu offers a selection of other speeds from a frozen solid to walking at normal speed.
Hug/Kiss
This offers the usual Hug and Kiss as well as some more unusual animations. A selection of the people you are facing isoffered in the menu for you to click on. The internal AO is automatically turned off during the embrace for better realism.
Satisfaction is my aim. Please IM me, Alisha Ultsch, if you have any questions or comments.
