UPDATE 2020:
♥ Now includes 5 textures
♥ Better LOD models to increase visibility at a distance
♥ Updated materials to fix a materials glitch
♥ Physics fix to now allow rezzing directly on top of the covers
The Violetility Mesh Ground Covers were created to allow you the freedom to scatter varied terrain on the ground, on landscaping items, or in skyboxes. Inspired by other games where you can "spray paint" or blend various terrain elements, these ground covers can break up grass with patches of dirt, add some moss to stone, and more.
These flat mesh pieces can be resized without much variance in land impact, and they have high LODs and stay visible from longer draw distances. There are five different types of textures (moss, moss with rocks, grass, dry dirt, and dirt with stones and pebbles) in three different variations each (square, circle, and faded patches). They're materials enabled to add some extra texture and dimension without detracting from the even plane of terrain. Link pieces to lower overall Land Impact.
15 objects are included - 5 types of terrain in 3 different varieties each.
NOTES:
♥ Why mesh instead of textures on prims? Mostly to decrease land impact. 1 prim = 1Li. 1 of these covers = 0.5Li that rounds up to 1Li until you link multiple together.
♥ These items use alpha blending to work as shown. There are limitations to SL alpha blending. When stacked or used with other alphas (things like furniture shadow layers) there may conflict regarding graphics and SL restrictions such as different layers competing to be visible on top.
♥ They are not texture files to apply to your ground, they are not sculpts, and their edges fade out to be used as standalone covers.
- Materials enabled
- 5 terrain texture types
- 3 variations and shapes
- Low Li but high LOD
OMFG
Thank sooo much for taking out you're time to create this i appreciate this is going to help people out in so many ways ty
Great Deal & Great Textures
I love adding these as accents to my home for landscaping.
Perfect! Please do a part II!
These work so well and are especially good for transitioning different landscapes and blending in areas. I'd definitely welcome a part two with perhaps more urban/rural themes like litter or broken up asphalt stuff like that maybe!
OMG so good
You are an angel sent from the heavens LOL. This is everything I needed in life. I used it on the Bellisseria parcel (where every prim counts), to take the edge off the sand and add some green. I had been using tall mesh grass to disguise the sand and it doesn't look NEARLY as good as this (and 9 prims!). This blends so well, and I covered my entire parcel with just 1 prim. Great price, and absolutely flawless texture. Thank you so much!
Nifty little set.
I like how the LI doesn't increase when you re-size it. The textures get a bit odd at larger sizes but, over all, this is a good buy. My only complaint is that when they're in use, you can't rez atop them.
