Waves are a-okay after some tinkering
This came with two sets of waves. One, I was able to edit, rotating it 90 degrees so it would hit my land properly. The other, the one I really want to use because it seemed slower and had sound, etc. wouldn't rotate, the stg6 20x1x10 newsound+rootprim 2. I IM'd the designer and he came right away to fix it. I had to give him perms (permission on my contact list to manipulate my objects). He fixed it somehow and now I have a lot of waves that work properly. They move a bit fast whooshing in rather than rolling but they look good from my porch so I'm going to enjoy.

It works for me
RL waves roll in and crash against sand/rock surfaces, then pull back.. and crash again to repat the process, due to the pull of the moon's gravity on the ocean surface. These waves go forward relentlessly, and never pulled back.
But I have a perverse sim, that is hellish and nothing as it seems. This work for me as I made my shoreline a flat surface waterfall. (Laughs)
One star for the foaming wave..Two stars for modifying it..and thrid..as a flat surface waterfall.
