WHAT DOES THIS SCRIPT DO?
When an avatar enters the prim area:
* WELCOME MESSAGE
Sends a private Instant Message (IM) to the visitor.
The greeting is sent at most once every 24 hours per avatar.
Prevents spam if someone enters and leaves multiple times.
* WELCOME GIFT (optional)
Delivered only on the first visit of each avatar.
Never repeated for the same avatar.
* LOCATION LANDMARK (optional)
Delivered only on the first visit.
Allows visitors to easily return to your place.
* VISITOR COUNTER (Owner only)
Visitors never see the counter.
The owner receives a message showing:
visitor name
total number of unique visitors
* PROTECTION
The system ignores the owner.
Works safely with multiple avatars detected at the same time.
USER LICENSE
* Allowed:
Use this script in your own objects inside Second Life.
Customize messages and greetings for your place.
Include in products you sell, respecting the rules below.
* Not Allowed:
Redistribute, resell, or give to others outside Second Life.
Claim as your own work.
Script can be used in your creations, which can be sold, but the animation permissions must be changed.
They may be used in your creations with permissions set to MOD/COPY or MOD/TRANS or COPY
They may be used in your creations but permissions CANNOT be set to Copy/Trans or Mod/Copy/Trans

Really easy to set up! I dropped it inside an entryway furniture and it works perfectly.
