Flying from Wall Street to WWII
The idea for the Goose came in 1936, when a group of wealthy industrialists, including Henry Morgan, Marshall Field and E.R. Harriman, wanted an easier way to commute from their homes on Long Island ( Where Niki Grew up : ) ) to the financial district of Wall Street. They commissioned Roy Grumman to build ten airplanes that could take off from their private air strips and land on the water near the financial district.
By the end of World War Two, nearly 350 Gooses (they are never referred to as Geese) had been built. They helped the U.S. military and our allies with fast and reliable transportation to remote locations all over the world.
Grumman Model G-21 was designed as a light amphibious transport. Grumman produced a high-wing monoplane of almost all-metal construction—the trailing half of the main wing and all of the flight control surfaces except for the flaps were fabric-covered. It was powered by two 450 horsepower (340 kW) Pratt & Whitney R-985 Wasp Junior nine-cylinder, air-cooled, radial engines mounted on the leading edges of the wings. The deep fuselage served also as a hull and was equipped with hand-cranked retractable landing gear. First flight of the prototype took place on May 29, 1937.[2]
The fuselage also proved versatile, as it provided generous interior space that allowed fitting for either a transport or luxury airliner role. Having an amphibious configuration also allowed the G-21 to go just about anywhere, and plans were made to market it as an amphibian airliner.[3]

Only one gripe, otherwise it's an awesome plane
I only have one gripe about this airplane and that is the pose system isn't very pilot friendly. If you are alone in the airplane you had better hope you are in a safe/rez area before you try to sit on the wing, nose. etc because to do so, you have to stand up and -- your plane will poof from under you in most regions.
Now, a previous reviewer was disappointed because the Goose does what any heavier than air craft tends to do and that is, if you walk away from the controls to top up your coffee cup--if you stop holding the plane aloft--well, it is going to obey the laws of gravity and come down. Newton's Law is taught in almost every school but maybe that reviewer missed that class? You see, this airplane isn't equipped with an autopilot so it is the meat and bone pilot that has to keep it in the air. It's called flying and is, presumably, why most of the rest of us bought the airplane in the first place--to FLY it? Honestly, some people give crappy reviews for totally ridiculous reasons.
Very disappointed
Compared to other aircraft, this has a very rudimentary flight model. The most irritating is the gradual nose-drop at any speed; go refill the coffee cup, come back and discover you've done a water landing (or worse). There are much better aircraft out there for the price. The ability to be modded to work with GTFO brings it up to 2 stars.
Really detailed and fun aircraft.
Apparently the goose is just been read released I had never seen it before in my search for seaplanes.
Senior crap brought a smile to my face as a teenager in the '60s visiting the island of Catalina, I use to watch these things waddle ashore with passengers from Los Angeles. The plane itself always reminded me of a shoe with wings, but did seem to be a really fun way to get to the Highland and wish I had had a chance to fly in it.
This SL aircraft is a lot of fun to fly and is compact as formerly noted by others capable of loading and unloading from the smallest of marinas. The instrument panel mirrors the actual panel inside the rl aircraft and operates without a glitch.
I hope Nikki Wilder and Joe sparrow keep this aircraft on the market for a long time so many other people can enjoy it.
Simply Perfect
After this being off the MP for some time, I IM'd countless people...included Niki and Joe...to try and hunt down this plane again. All leads were cold until a week later, Niki responded and put it back on the MP! I bought this plane immediately and took two of my friends up for a maiden flight. WOW is the only word I can use. The built in menus, the external poses, the flight model, the interior and exterior details...absolutely divine!! If you're a sucker for detail, this is your baby. I've always had an eye for the ol' Grumman bird, and this is one of the finest and smoothest sim-crossing planes I've ever flown in SL...and that was with 3 souls onboard!! My only singular gripe is the unrealistic registration number on the civilian paint, so I'll be digging into the included paint kit to remedy that :D One happy customer here!!
The Legend finally returns to the MarketPlace
It's not the biggest, it doesn't carry the most, but it does it in style and can land in marinas, the oceans, harbors, seaports as well as airports.

This is the way to explore the Grid, from sea to shining sea across the intercontinental space. If you fly SL, and you can only afford one plane, this is the craft to do it in.
Get Goosed !
Excellent craftsmanship and scripting of this Goose will give you goose bumps. I been eyeing it for some time and bought it. I love it. Everything I expected it to be and more. Great Team Up Of Niki and Joe on this. Thanks for a fun bit of nostalgia ! I would have given it 10 stars if I could. :)
