Are proud to present The G- 21 Grumman Goose
Flying from Wall Street to WWII
The idea for the Goose came in 1936, when a group of wealthy industrialists, including Henry Morgan, Marshall Field and E.R. Harriman, wanted an easier way to commute from their homes on Long Island ( Where Niki Grew up : ) ) to the financial district of Wall Street. They commissioned Roy Grumman to build ten airplanes that could take off from their private air strips and land on the water near the financial district.
By the end of World War Two, nearly 350 Gooses (they are never referred to as Geese) had been built. They helped the U.S. military and our allies with fast and reliable transportation to remote locations all over the world.
Grumman Model G-21 was designed as a light amphibious transport. Grumman produced a high-wing monoplane of almost all-metal construction—the trailing half of the main wing and all of the flight control surfaces except for the flaps were fabric-covered. It was powered by two 450 horsepower (340 kW) Pratt & Whitney R-985 Wasp Junior nine-cylinder, air-cooled, radial engines mounted on the leading edges of the wings. The deep fuselage served also as a hull and was equipped with hand-cranked retractable landing gear. First flight of the prototype took place on May 29, 1937.[2]
The fuselage also proved versatile, as it provided generous interior space that allowed fitting for either a transport or luxury airliner role. Having an amphibious configuration also allowed the G-21 to go just about anywhere, and plans were made to market it as an amphibian airliner.[3]

Doesn't live up to the hype
The goose flies OK, nothing special. the instruments in the cockpit move but don't actually show any real information, and as far as I can tell the only way to unpark it was to edit it to physical. It definitely doesn't live up the the hype its been getting, sure it looks good but the rest is mediocre at best.
Great Model & Scripting Perfect Size for SL
General Review: This is a well detailed model, with great possibilities for the Modders & Texturers amongst us, Very good LOD factor, nicely created particle effects and standard texturing to the models supplied.
Pros: Full Mod which means just that, you can add parts and remove parts to make this a personally unique model of your own just remember to reset scripts after any mods are done. Performance on sims and crossings is to date very good, I have had smooth sim crossings even around the Blake Sea area which is notoriously laggy. The feel of the planes flight engine is great, it is not as difficult to fly as some of the planes available so is good for a new pilot, that being said it still offers a good challenge for the more advanced pilots amongst us, you can even fly it on one engine with some practice. I have not tried the mouselook flight just yet but I will assume it is on a par with flying 3rd person view. Texture templates are all included in boxes within the delivery crate, and you also get a nice decor model which is undergoing repair to display on your airfield plot if you so wish.
Cons: Not many really, 1 x texture file appears to be missing in the Military version, that is the top door texture on the fuselage, but I have yet to contact Nikki to mention this to her and I am sure she will correct that as soon as she is aware. It would be nice also to have a link to the PSD Layered files for better texturing options as a modder. Flight as i said before is a good script I personally would like some form of damage if landing is bad, but that really is just nitpicking as nothing else springs to mind other than the price which to me personally is a little too high, I would think more reasonable price would be L$2000 but if people want it enough I am sure it will still sell.
Conclusion: Great Model, Great Scripting, Great possibilities for Modding, Ideally PSD Layers Download link would be good for textureres and price is a little too high
Excellent
An easy 5 stars for this beauty. She looks authentically accurate, and flies really REALLY well in the SL environment.
Excellent !!
Flown a couple of flights now and impressed, would recommend this highly, good work niki
